To all my friends,

You know how much I love the outdoors!  I also love (and am) a big advocate of Girl Scouting! And Girl Scouts and the outdoors just naturally go together! Enjoying the great outdoors and appreciation of nature has been a part of Girl Scout tradition since the start. 

From her own backyard to the backcountry, Girl Scouts has a long history of getting every girl outdoors – experiencing the wonders of nature and the thrill of adventure.  Earning Girl Scout badges are a fun way for girls to explore the outdoors and nature, try new things, improve their skills, improve their health, and grow their confidence.

Technology and structured activities leave less time for girls to get outside and enjoy nature. But as a Girl Scout, she has plenty of opportunities to create her own outdoor adventures and develop a lifelong appreciation for nature and the out-of-doors—whether with her troop, at camp, or with friends and family.

Because I am so passionate about the outdoors and Girl Scouts, I am asking all my friends to join me in making a financial donation to Girl Scouts of Nassau County to get all girls outdoors – exploring, learning, trying new things, and appreciating all nature has to offer.
